Travel to the Cantabrian Mountains to pick up 12 livestock guardian dogs (LGD’s) of the Mastin Espanol de Trabajo breed.
Travel with Edo Gommers, Ray Dogerlo and Olivier Rubbers.
Goals:
– breeding LGD’s in the Benelux
– organize happy coexistence between wolves and breeders.

The Spanish Mastiff is a very old breed, widespread in Spain. Its history is intimately linked to that of the herds of sheep and their transhumance in the Iberian Peninsula.
It is used as a herd protection dog against the attacks of wolves and bears present in the Cantabrian Mountains.

Long journey from the Belgian Ardennes to a very small village in the Cantabrian Mountains.
On site, welcome by Philippe, a local shepherd from … Bruges.
Assessment of dog skills by LGD expert Ray Dogerlo.
Conclusion of the contract with Philippe
Loading the LGD’s and travelling back to Belgium.
